Editorial Review for Happy Trails – by Kim Cooper
In Short
This roomy, neat store packed with pop-cultural gems is organized by theme--bath treats over here, reproduction vintage lunch boxes there. An upbeat soundtrack of rare rockabilly puts shoppers into a giddy daze, all the better to explore the treats on display. This store's patron saint is Roy Rogers, and a wide selection of kitschy memorabilia honors his long career. If your tastes run to edgier heroes, there's plenty of Elvis, Betti Page and Rat Fink. From the Sailor Jerry line of vintage tattoo graphics, choose bar glasses or sexy undies and baby-tee sets. New-old stock is another specialty, including mint examples of Pee-Wee Herman fun packs and Wonder Woman action figures. All this, plus Mexican wrestling masks, sleazy '60s postcards and one of the biggest selections of Wacky Wobblers in town.
