Haight Street fashion plates treat the Wasteland as their personal closet, bringing tired favorites to exchange for someone else's new-old gem. The vast, barn-like space behind the gorgeous entryway is well-organized, with the most fabulous pieces safely hung up on the walls. There are plenty of big, well-lit dressing rooms so friends can try things on together. this store is amazing, a must see if you are in SF. they have a wide selection of vintage and thrifty clothing. you literally could spend hours looking at everything they have. the biggest drawback is the prices. for some of the most threadbare shirts you have ever seen its at least 20+ bucks!! but if you have some extra cash its a great store.

Great authenic thrift store with good prices

Nowadays you go to the thrift store...well they don't call it that anymore. Now it is "vintage" which equals more money. Anyway, the choices are slim and the prices are ridiculous. Wasteland is the only spot that keeps it real. You can always find the best 50's -70's gear and I love it. Go if you are in town.

a MUST

if you love shopping/clothes/shoes/bags/etc. (especially vintage) at all you must go here. you WILL find something. whether it is designer or not they have a vast and great selection. most of the employees are pretty friendly and all have their own sweet style (they get all the good goods first!)
