Denlike grotto of a bar.
With pillows on the floor, dim lighting and an appropriately Haight-goth clientle, this is the perfect place to get your grunge on. Quite welcoming in an indifferent sort of way.

Lower Haight beer den mixing cutting-edge dance music with prehistoric and post-apocalyptic decor..
In Short
There is no other bar quite like this in San Francisco. There's no hard alcohol (or dance floor), but beneath metal-panel ceilings, the lit-up bar area features stiff, wavy chairs, 16 draft beers and a fridge full of specialty bottles like La Fin du Monde. It's the type of place every barhopper should check out at least once, or become a regular and play backgammon with the barkeep on slower nights.

No cover charge.
Don't be had by people standing outside charging cover- they don't work there. Great ambiance- just wish I got my $ back :(

Whos There?: A Dark Tune in Lower Haight.
Wanna get away from the usual sports on the tube, pool & darts in the corners, and uninspired jukebox crunching out same-ol same-ol notes type of bar? If your flavor for the night requires a bit o' change, stop in for a few beers or pick up a glass or bottle of wine and sit at a table (if you can find an open one), or get down low in the shadows and sip away Japanese style, knees to the ground and tables fit for the shortest pixie. But if your eclectic taste suddenly calls for a Martini or Margarita you won't find it here in this obscure cave like nook. No hard liquor is served, but the sureal lighting and dark ambient music may just aid your buzz.

Needs Ventilation!.
Sure it's probably the best hang in the Lower H but would it kill them to open a window? I don't mind having beer spilled all over an ashtray and then dumped on me, but I hate the smell of it drying. Just venting ...
