I always love going to Mad Dog in the Fog. It lacks a lot of the pretentiousness that plagues the Lower Haight. It, very simply, is a great English pub. You can especially feel it in the summers when a lot of the Irish and English exchange students are in town and they fill this place to capacity. The trivia nights there are a lot of fun and not too hard.

Not being a soccer fan, I shouldn't have been in there. Lots of drinkers rambling about Ireland, but other than that, a decent place.

Good selection of beers. Large place with lots of room... never seen it too packed (not sure if that is good or bad). Great place to watch soccer matches. Only place that I have found in the US that serves London Pride on tap.
