Good but overhyped. I've never understood why this place gets everyone so fanatical. The food is good, but it's overpriced for the portions. It's a long wait to eat there (consider takeout if you're close) and the wait staff isn't personable. I think this restaurant is resting on its laurels--and relying on limited competition.…
Roomy, friendly, attentive, and flavorful.
This place is roomy, friendly, and attentive. Overall, the food was very good. I had the scrumptious Saag Aloo with some naan and rice.
The spot is handicap accessible... sorta. When I went there was a huge booth seat blocking the front door. They moved it right away as soon as they saw that I was approaching with my chair; however, if that seat had been occupied for the way in and leaving... it would have been a big hassle for those seated at that spot.
There is no handicap accessbile way to the upstairs portion of the restaurant unless you have a chaperone willing to assist in pulling you up and and slowly lowering you down the tiny steps.
Handicap accessibility is somewhat lacking but the staff makes themselves pleasantly available to assist with finding you a spot.…
Best Indian food in all of California. This place gets pretty busy and it's for a good reason - the food is excellent and the prices are incredible. The restaurant is small, but people get seated quickly. We made a reservation and got taken upstairs to this little area with really comfortable chairs. We had a party of six and they easily accommodated us. The service was great and we wouldn't go anywhere else in the Bay Area for Indian food after eating here!…
Best Indian Restaurant found in San Francisco with excellent customer service. Best Indian Restaurant found in San Francisco. The staff was very freindly and the food was great. You have to wait cuz of the timing of the restaurant & sitting capacity. Wait is worth it cuz Food & Drinks are great. I loved the Lamb Boti Kabab, Ghost Karahi with their best wine recommended by the staff "Pinot Noir, Bouchard.Bugundy" from France. I really enjoyed my dinner.…
Good think you don't know what goes on in the kitchen. Sure, the food is good, but this place is not the best. Lord knows there are tons of other choices in the Lower Haight.
