embarrassed and humiliated by rude service.
We go there a lot. Today, while my fiancee was parking, I walked in. Employee wanted me to stand out in cold although no one else was waiting. 2 people got up and left. table was cleaned and set up. I sat down. 2 people came in and the employee told me to get up cause my other person wasn't there yet. I asked if she was joking and she said no. I felt embarrassed and humiliated and left. I will not return. We went to Flippers.

Hi
I spoke with the waitress after I have spoken with you. I think the whole thing was lack of communications. Although you do understand the location being busy, us depending on turn over that we can not afford to have anyone sit at a table unless there entire party is there. While the rest of your party was still parking, and while you would have got up and waited and gave your seats to another party that was there, and you DID :) Had the waitress taken more time out of her busy Sat morning and explained things better to you, it would have been better. Being in this business for 29 years (26 at that location) I have seen this time and time again and I do feel what you went through. If you felt discomfort, our apologies.

Best Breakfast.
This spot is still my favorite breakfast spot. I love everything I have ever ordered. It is hearty, tasty and fast service. My old standard is the eggs and pork chops. So GOOD!

Great place for Breakfast- Service fun and nice crowd.
Great food and atmosphere. Pork Chops for Breakfast with Grits are a great way to recover from the night before. Some seating outside which is good if you have dogs. Bloody Mary's are good value.

This place is one of the BEST!.
I have been to the Haight Ashbury three times and each time, I return to the Pork Store for breakfast and I have yet to be disappointed. This must be the way a diner was during the days of my parents and others before me. I will admit that I do not get adventurous when it comes to the menu; bacon & eggs with hash browns are my typical fare (and the serings are large and healthy, from a male stand point anyway) but I LOVE this place! The price is affordavle and there are some who say the service might be lacking but when you have wall to wall people with a line out the door, it is hard to be overly cordial. Just the same, when I've been there, the girls have always taken the time to stop and chat (even if briefly). If you are able to make it to the Haight early (as in by 7 AM), you'll be able to have a more leisurely experience but whatever you do .... try and make the effort to stop by. I truly feel you won't be sorry!

Good, fast & cheap.
Went on a Sunday and sat at the counter. Not a long wait and great food. Had the chorizo scramble. Would definitely go back. Great deal for the cost and reall nice server. Normally I don't like counter seating but it was cool to watch them cook. Fast too.

Bad service.
This breakfast place has the worst service I have ever experienced. It's not worth the wait. There are so many better places to get breakfast in the city. unless of course you like your food thrown at you and very rude employees. food is good but spoiled by experience.

Breakfast is the name of the game at this funky Haight Street cafe that's popular with the carb-craving crowd..
In Short
This casual but lively cafe is a morning-after mainstay for hung-over partygoers jonesing for some greasy grub. An all-day breakfast menu, stocked with starchy staples like enormous blueberry pancakes and hash browns served by the truckload, easily sate even the biggest appetites. There are also many veggie options. The rockin' staff makes sure patrons never see the bottom of their coffee mugs.

Best French Toast.
There is something i look forward to every sunday morning, that is the French Toast at Pork Store Cafe. The server are just absolutely friendly. Expect the line in the morning but the Haight Street scene is enough to keep you entertained. If you are looking for a simple and good American breakfast, this is the place that is definitely worth the visit.

Great service, good food.
Caveat to my review: I went EARLY (7am) Monday morning so there was no wait. But I can see why there would be. The waitress was SO friendly and continually kept filling my coffee cup. It never got below the half-cup mark. The food came right away and tasted awesome and portions were definitely worth it. Great place for breakfast with a friend. Would not come here with crowds, though.
