great little restaurant.
great food, you can notice the French touch !
really romantic place
Service is not exceptional but you can't always get what you want
we went back a second time on Saturday, they gave away our table after having called and being 10 minutes late.Service in general is getting worst and worst.they gave the check to our guests even if we told them not to !
Hidden Jewel, Not Flawless. Alamo is a fantastic deal for very fresh fish, and for a semi-special meal on a regular night. Where else in town can you enjoy a 3 course fixed price dinner for 2 with a decent bottle of White Bordeaux for around $60. The service is not always on target, but the place is small and generally quiet. It won't be as special as your favorite bistro on the Ile St. Louis, but pretty close and a lot closer.
Must Try!. I fell in love with this place the first time I went. I recommend this place and I always bring out of town guests here. The ambience is cozy and romantic. The food is excellent, they cook the fish just to your likings. You will never go wrong if you choose the daily specials!! The crab cakes are excellent and the clams with fries, dip the fries in the clam sauce!
unexpected find. another great neighborhood deal - parking blows, but the food is fresh, simple and the atmosphere is cosy. For one of those low pressure dates this place is a geat place to relax and talk. Desert was a highlight - the creme caramel for this price is a sure winner.
A must for diners. My hats off to Alamo Square. I went on a date there and it was perfect. The wine was great the entree's were excellent but the Clams were outstanding. I suggest everyone go and get the Clams and Fries as a starter.
