The Scene – This romantic neighborhood gem is nestled on an unassuming block and draws alert eyes with strings of white Christmas-style lights out front. Inside, a loft-like window peers onto the gold and red dining room--half occupied by a semi-exposed kitchen, the remainder features padded banquettes atop a checkered floor. Waitstaff will pour bargain glasses of wine to the rim, but service may be slow. – – The Food – French-influenced seafood is the specialty. The lightly breaded, greaseless crab cakes are the restaurant's signature dish (available as a starter or…
well worth the money.

Spent a romantic evening with my partner and celebrated a wonderful milestone for us. The food is good and they sometimes have nice music playing in the background. Nice soft jazz music if you're into that type of music. Candle lit tables, very romantic and always excellent service. It's a little pricey, but well worth the money.
not a great recommendation!!

As tourists to this fabulous city we were expecting great things from this restaurant as it was recommended to us by locals and our guide book. However we were bitterly disappointed with the food as it was luke-warm by the time it reached our table, on tasting, there was nothing, no flavour, and it felt that it was just fish and 2 veg. The restaurant was not that busy with about 15 - 20 dining, but the service was slow, we knew that already from reading reviews etc but the waitress was unattentive and other diners complained and she just said it was not a fast food joint!
We would not come back to this 'French Restaurant', and not sure why people should waste good hard earned cash here!
- Pros: none

Great seafood dishes and very reasonable prices. Unlike other reviews, the service was wonderful and our waitress was very attentive and engaging. Crabcakes lived up to their reputation. Scallops were perfectly cooked and served in a very tasty mussel broth. Also tried a pork chop which was brined. Very good. Would definitely visit again when in San Francisco the next time.
