support your local sheriff! - trying to get by in the age of NETFLIX. the previous review is BS... I used to work at this store many moons ago and I managed to compound $50.00 in late fees anyway (on "EMPIRE OF THE SUN" for chrissake - I was young and impetuous - and so was Christian Bale yummy! what can I say) but, I paid it happily - this is a small local business owned by an SF native trying to keep his business open in an age where people can keep a movie for the rest of their lives (if they so choose) by ordering online from NetFlix... I'll be going to INTO forever... and if you rent often enough and are nice most of the staff will erase most or all of your late fee(s) anyway if the movie is only a day or so late... so support small local stores like INTO - and good luck trying to rent "BARE BEHIND BARS" (a true early eighties classic, by the way) at BLOCKBUSTED (yeah, I went there, I said it, and what?)

A small, neighborhood movie-rental shop with an extensive collection and great money-saving deals.. In Short
One of the few video-rental establishments in the Haight-Ashbury District, this shop stocks more than 14,000 titles in its relatively tiny space. Videos are organized by director (Jean-Luc Godard, Paul Thomas Anderson and the like) and by genre (comedy, drama, etc.). You'll also find often-overlooked categories like Movie Musicals, Hong Kong Action and Queer Cinema. Staff picks are usually entertaining, and there's a healthy selection of new releases. The DVD collection is still on the small side, but new titles are added regularly.
