I never leave empty handed!. Fun cute girly clothes in tune with all the trends?

Options for every occasion from going out to the bar, going to brunch, a wedding or even to the beach?

Accessories galore, ranging from shoes, purses, belts, headbands, 2 sided tape, heel grips and whatever you need to complete your outfit, keep your feet from hurting and to keep your clothes fitting and looking the way they should?

Nice helpful staff that has patience, style knowledge and likes to help you put clothes back on the hangers and are not anorexically thin?

Yes, this place has it all. I don't think I have ever walked out of here empty handed.

Unique items. I love this place even though it is way over priced, but a real gem in the Haight. For the past 3 years I've always have found my holiday party dresses here. the space is a bit small and it can get really crowded but overall the service is good. A great place for odd and unique accessories and shoes you can't find everywhere.

Great shopping. If you have a lot money to spend or just a little, you can always find something here. Items from many different price points are all mixed together. It is great! Also, they have a great selection of shoes!!!!

Walking into Ambiance is like entering a warm cave, if that cave had maroon and pink patterns lining the walls. Racks of retro-style dresses, embroidered sweaters and plaid skirts fill this trendy boutique. Ambiance is a must for ladies on a sensible budget. The helpful and well-dressed staff will steer you in the right direction if you look lost, and the dressing rooms are well-lit and comfy.

awesome. This store is amazing. i found so many things it was hard to choose. the sales girls brought my stuff to my fitting room, then just kept bringing me cute thing after cute thing. i got 3 new outfits complete with jewelry and SUCH CUTE SHOES!!!!

i found a killer top for $29 and a sexy dress for $115. Wow there is a lot to choose from but the girls made it very easy

Frustrating. Nice store with clothes that you want to try on. Prices are on the high side however. Store is so full of merchandise so that it is hard to move around in there. The way it is organized(??) it is difficult to see all that they have. I still don't think we did. We were there well over an hour and a half, bought nothing, and didn't see it all.

Be smart about what you buy!. While Ambiance has a great selection of pretty clothing and a helpful staff, their prices are a bit unrealistic. I found the same top priced at $35 at Ambiance for a mere $17.99 at X-Generation (a block over on Haight). Most of their shoes cost $7-$10 less at Nordstrom. Their no-returns policy is also frustrating. A few times I bought damaged goods and wasn't able to exchange it because they ran out of my size. I got stuck with a credit slip which forced me to keep going back.

In a nutshell, go to Ambiance for the ambiance and enjoy the latest fashions. If you decide to buy something make sure to check it very carefully. Unless you get the item the day they put it out, you're likely to be holding an item that's gone through many a fitting.

Boutique prices bite. granted their stuff is cute and the service is friendly, but beware of their 10-day+tag-remaining return policy for store credit only, and that their prices run higher than the same item that you'd find at a department store. my adorable knee-length coat was $18 more than the same coat I found at Nords. =(

Ambiance is one thing, but.... Granted, the ambiance in ambiance is fabulous. Great ladies to help you out, but the prices are just ridiculous. Unless you find a sweet little number tucked away on one of those oh-so-few sale racks, the remainer of the items are cute, but not worth the money. Lots of pretty clothes, but pretty ugly prices if you ask most people....

A t-shirt should not cost $35. period. Anyone that thinks so probably works there.

Great finds for super cheap!. I love this store. I always find something adorable and come in under my budget. The jewelry and shoe selections are great too. The sales people are fun and have wonderful suggestions. The Union St. and Haight stores are great but I'd avoid the one in Noe Valley - the sales people there are pretty rude.
