Fast, reasonable, and guaranteed. I'd never had a cleaning service before, but found that I just couldn't keep up my place: 2 1/2 baths, 2 bedrooms, etc. The Merry Maids office is closeby, so I stopped in there. They office person scheduled an estimate for the next day.

I had an estimator come out as promised. She finished in less than 15 minutes and set me up for the first cleaning the very next.

When I teturned from work, the place was clean. In fact, the estimator was there checking it out to make sure the work was done properly. The price is higher than a some cleaners, but Merry Maids' employees are bonded and insured. Plus, the estimator told me, that all employees are drug-tested and background checked. You pay what for what you get. If you want cheap, this isn't the place, but if you want your house cleaned by people you can trust, this is the place.

Okay.....except. We had Merrymaids clean our house in Vallejo the day prior to the new owners moving in. We thought we had all the details worked out. The house was almost empty, and should have been an easy clean. And generally they did do a good job.

But unbeknownst to us, they didn't clean the refrigerator, and we had to go back right before the new owners got the house to clean it ourselves. Considering what they did NOT do, it seems like alot of money.

In the future, we will just hire a local maid service. Maybe we can find an alternate on Citysearch when the time comes.

2 years and still going. Lived in the city for almost 10 years and had an awful time finding anyone reliable for years. My neighbor recommended merry maids about 2 years ago and they have done a really good job. They are more expensive than hiring someone from craigslist but they are bonded so I don't feel like I have to follow them from room to room. They do miss spots sometimes but they send people back when i let them know. All in all, I'm pleased and would recommend them.

They sure aren't merry!. I had a very bad experience with Merry Maids based on a dozen cleanings of my house over a year's time. I recently fired them. First, the office staff is rude and doesn't listen to any constructive criticism. They are very expensive. And, their cleaning services are mediocre at best. Sometimes I would come home and wonder if they had even been there! The only plus side to using their service is that they are bonded, so that when they break something (and they will), they will pay to replace it. BUYER BEWARE!

Saved my relationship!. I had the Merry Maids come over while my girlfriend was away and it was incredible. I told them exactly what I wanted via email and they took care of it. When my girlfriend came home, she was amazed at the bathroom and that I had it done. The only thing is the time- if you don't have them come out in the morning you only get a time window. So I had to plan ahead so I could be home in the morning.

it was ok. I've never had my house professionally cleaned before, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but I felt that it was kind of expensive for an ok job. Especailly since they had 2 people come. There was still dust in the corners of the floor, in some of the edges of the shelves, and cobwebs in the corners. On the website it said they would clean the tiled walls of the bathroom, which they didn't. The towels in the bathroom weren't even left folded nicely. the bed was made, but not with the professional look that I would expect from paying someone. There were still some spots on the floor that I used a wet towel to wipe up after they were gone. Basically it was the same result as if I had spent an hour cleaning.
