In Short – The spacious, three-decade-old restaurant has the look and feel of a place that's been around. A giant gumball machine stands in front of a collection of family photos adorning the wall by the entrance. Locals sit at the long 18-seat counter facing the kitchen or in one of the many booths to have easy access to the salad bar. Regulars enjoy the Special Breakfast, the Grill's version of steak and eggs, and the Combination Seafood Plate, which includes prawns and oysters.

The food at this place is wonderful but the sight seeing is even better. The mexican cook there, I think his name is AL is so easy on the eyes. I love to go there and watch his butt from the counter. Ahhhhhh...

mmm, Maybe I went when it was TOO crowded

by lummylim

I went there at around 1:00 in the afternoon. I was waffling between the waffles and the corn beef hash. I decided to get the corn beef hash with eggs over easy...hash browns included along with a strawberry milkshake. The price was VERY reasonable considering that you get a heaping amount of food...I MEAN I couldn't even eat half the serving of corn beef OR the second egg. The milkshake was SO YUMMY. I do have one complaint thought. The hashbrowns that I got weren't quite done and so they got really cold and they had that uncooked texture. Otherwise, I would definitely go back.

  • Pros: family style dining, HUGE servings, GOOD food
  • Cons: no parking, crowded afternoons

i've been living in the sunset or about two yeaers and always stuck to the same spots to eat: then one day i wandered on in to the tenessee grill and I must say the food there is EXCELLENT. Ever since I foudn the place, I've made it a point to go there every weekend. I always get the steak because that's just some good grub. And the prices are EXCELLENT! I'm a college student and I swear this spot is great for good food fast, and excellent prices.

  • Pros: taste, inexpensive, value
