5 Star Rating: Highly Recommended

I started going to Dr. O’Connell to relieve chronic hip and lower back tension and discomfort. After 4 or 5 sessions I felt a dramatic change for the better. In addition to feeling better physically, I also feel more balanced emotionally and less stressed. I found Dr. O’Connell to be a patient, compassionate, and thorough professional. I have never felt rushed through an adjustment. Dr. O’Connell was referred to me by a co-worker. I wouldn’t hesitate to refer him to a friend, co-worker or relative.

Pros: Thorough, Professional,

Cons: parking can be a headache, take the 1 California or 22 Fillmore

I have always done a lot of sports, but last year I started training to run a marathon and got a bad pain in my foot after running my first 18 miles ever. The diagnostic: plantar fasciitis (inflammation of the tissue (fascia) connecting your heel bone to the base of your toes) The "cure": 5 sessions with James (over two weeks), where he worked the base of my foot... and I was able to resume my training with NO pain at all AND finished my first marathon ever 5 weeks later! Fantastic!! After the marathon I went back to my routine of playing squash... but got too enthusiastic and played 5 days in a row (for 2 hours)... and on the fifth day I felt a bad pull in my knee. I rested for 2 weeks praying that it wasn't the ligament (which typically means going under the knife) and then resumed activity feeling the bad pain again. Two weeks later I went to see James again, and with ONE session he has fixed me up! He assured me that it was the tendon that was "tight" and then he adjusted my column and hips, which apparently were pulling on the tendon, and I have been fine since. I would Highly Recommend James. Not only is he a great healer, but he is an excellent person, with wonderfully gentle demeanor and he genuinely cares about you.

Pros: Real healing. Friendly. Parking should be easy, except peak hours.

Cons: Center of the city isn't that quick to access if coming from South Bay
