The Scene – This well-maintained maroon Victorian with flowering window boxes dates from 1875. Before its current incarnation as a peaceful bed and breakfast, it was a saloon, a bordello, and a speakeasy. The small 14-room hotel borders glorious Victorian homes on one side and unattractive modern office blocks on the other. Situated on the corner of two very busy roads and directly across the street from a fire station, the location is somewhat noisy.
