The Scene
Don't be turned off by the rather unattractive, dark-beige space, scattered with knickknacks and housewares. Sifting through the racks will uncover barely worn casual and business clothes for men, women, children and babies. All proceeds benefit the scholarship fund for Schools of the Sacred Heart, San Francisco's Catholic K-12 school system.
The Goods
This isn't your standard thrift store--you probably won't find any clothes for less than $5, but you also won't need to inspect for stains or holes. The women's business suits (with labels like Anne Klein, DKNY and maybe even Dolce & Gabbana) are good deals, with prices starting at $40. The men's suit choices--many tweed or pin-striped--look rather outdated. Scour the small shoe rack to uncover Nine West, Aldo or Prada heels starting at $15. Don't overlook the notable selection of books for adults and children.
