In Short
As patrons gaze at the photos and posters lining the walls, they can practically surf on the sound waves emanating from the building's storied musical past. The site hosted a roller rink in the '40s, hippie freak-outs in the '60s and hard-core punk in the '80s. History aside, this midsize venue features three bar areas (spread between two floors), sparkling chandeliers, ruby curtains and a wooden dance floor.

The Fillmore is a old school venue where a lot of show case concerts are starting to make a come back. It's style of entertaining while the audience are on their feet is bound to have you calling for Dr. Schultz. Other then that the place is nice parking sucks but it's a nice place to have a nice venue showcase.

I've been the venue for a couple concerts. Each time I really enjoyed attending. I like the fact you can feel close to the performers no matter where you stand. Plus, you have your pick of a number of vantage points, whether on the floor or on the balcony. Since the place has pictures of past performers all over, I could get a sense of the historical relevance of The Fillmore as a music venue. I'm looking forward to next time I go.
