Limited Buffet , Only Average in Taste
by skylarkar at Citysearch
We are Indian cuisine aficionados and have eaten it all over the country in our travels. My husband who has lived in India is an expert in what is authentic tasting Indian cuisine. This buffet was very mediocre, lacking in both variety of dishes and spicy taste. I have found Indian food much spicier in most Indian restaurants I have eaten in; I don't know if this was due to a new cook or if the restaurant likes to travel the middle road to appeal to a broader population. We won't return to find out. The space is small which may account for why the buffet is limited. We are familiar with buffets which have a larger variety of dishes, but we could understand spatial issues preventing that in this restaurant. Neither of us returned to the buffet for 2nds of anything. :-(
- Pros: Reasonable Price
- Cons: Average Food with Little Spice and Limited Buffet Selections; Parking is difficult
Good, but not great...

My girlfriend and I walked down here to give their chicken tikka masala a try. Apparently their specialty is their buffet (their sign said $7.95, but we were told dinner was $8.95 upon sitting down). As we wanted to dine on the cheap, we decided to just split a plate of the tikka. The chicken was of decent quality, but the masala itself was a bit runny and bland. We ordered two garlic naan's but found that one would've sufficed as their quite large. I have made it my mission to find the best Indian food in the city. If I find none better, I will return here. But for now, I will keep searching...
- Pros: reasonable prices
- Cons: somewhat bland
Good Indian Buffet Next to Kabuki
by dancergirl21 at Citysearch
If you like Indian, and need a place to eat before you catch a movie at Kabuki, this is the place. $7.95 buffet gets you all-you-can-eat, and I appreciated their good selection of food, along with accompanying sauces. I'm usually not into Indian food, but I liked this place. The place is simple and functional. Not a place to bring a first date to, but a cozy place to go to with a good friend. I liked their mango lassis. I also like that they tell you that you can eat as much as you want, but please don't take more than you can eat. Environmental, economical, and not promoting waste - all good things.
Not Impressed

I was not impressed their lunch buffet. very limited choices. Taste was OK. I felt expensive compare to the menu selection and price. There are many ohter restaurant whose buffet is cheaper or more selection. Naan was no taste and somewhat dry.
