Best Korean food in SF
by inignot at Citysearch
I've eaten at most of the Korean joints in this town, and this one is hands-down the best. Always busy, and the waitresses run around like ER nurses ( and dress accordingly) while the owner directs traffic and smiles profusely. But if you're in the mood for any type of Korean food, from barbecue to the spicy stews to the burnt rice in stoneware, this is your best bet.
The small sides are excellent and almost a meal in themselves. Despite what other reviewers have written about the prices, I think they're pretty moderate - you can easily fill up without breaking your wallet. I've had all of the barbecues and they're great, as are the spicy stews. Be careful how spicy you order it, though - you may end up crying if you go above medium. And save room for dessert - the red bean ice cream is unique to Seoul Garden, as far as I know, and delicious.
I would recommend going with a bigger group, at least 4 people, to order family style and be able to get the full experience.

I love Korean food! My friends and I went to try their BBQ. Overall, Seoul Garden was really good. The decor and restaurant itself is one of the nicer Korean Restaurants I've been to. Service was good and friendly. Prices are a little higher but I would definitely go back!
- Pros: Quality food, decent parking.

I have to say I first went to Seoul Garden after church when I was about 7 years old. now, almost 17 years later, when I returned it was great to find that not only was the food still great, the staff is super friendly. however, this isn't because the staff is so excited to work there but the owner who is always smiling and always happy to see his customers. it's worth it to pay a bit more for the service and food quality!
- Pros: great food, friendly atmosphere
- Cons: , price
