Delicious, home-cooked korean. If you're searching for great, authentic korean food, definitely give Korea House a try. The meal I had here reminded me of the food I grew up with - and the atmosphere is cozy and down to earth, and although it is always busy, it is just quiet enough to enjoy a nice solid meal with good company.

First, you start out with a large variety of little plates/appetizers, which are all fresh and healthy (mostly vegetables). You can't really go wrong with any of the entrees - we recently ordered the kalbi, which was cut a bit thicker than normal but had a very flavorful, hearty taste to it. The tofu hotpot ("soon toobu") was the perfect complement to the kalbi, which was just spicy enough and plenty of seafood (unlike many other places).

Overall, a meal here won't disappoint, whether you've had korean food all your life or it's your first time. The many locals and wide variety of customers (young couples, families, coworkers, etc.) that have discovered this restaurant is proof that this is truly a great place for everyone.

Editorial Review. Unassuming Korean restaurant serves authentic seafood or meat bibimbaps and allows patrons to barbecue their own meats.

best korean soup ever!!. korea house has the best vegetable beef soup! (aka taro gook bap) you have to try their soup on a rainy day or days when you don't feel like eating anything too heavy. i highly highly recommend it!

it's decent. I've went to korea house recently and tried their bbq and some soups...I was a little disappointed to see the gas grill as wood or even charcoal makes the meat taste better. The soups were pretty good though and the atmosphere is nice. However if you want good korean bbq I recommend brothers restaurant on geary over this one...it's not as nice looking but the food is better and more authentic.

A table full of food. A friend and I ate here for the first time yesterday. Although the service was poor (we seated ourselves), the food was excellent! Along with our main dishes, we were brought nearly 15 different side dishes of Korean vegetables. There were even five different types of kimchi to try!

Exceptional. As an LA-native, I was skeptical of how good any SF Korean restaurants would be compared to the ones in LA. I've tried a plethora of SF Korean restaurants, and was left extremely disappointed...fortunately, I found Korea House. Delicious food, relaxing atmosphere, and thoughtful service. Been recommending Korea House ever since.

Simply put - Korea House is the best Korean restaurant in SF. Don't miss out on this SF treat.

Authentic Korean food and great service. This is by far the best Korean restaurant in the city. I don't know what the last reviewer was smoking. The person should stop writing reviews and go take some English classes. I've had many a group dinners there and have never been disappointed. The meat is always fresh and they never skimp. The service is spectacular and the side dishes are mmm-mmm tasty! Let me also point out that aside from the yummy food, the place is clean and authentic. This place rocks.

I was ashamed!!. I found this restaurant by this site. Then I decided to have my coworkers welcome party at this restaurant. We were 8 people, restaurant wasnt busy at that time but we had only one griller table. Fire wasnt strong enough either big enough, it took forever to cook. They use frozen meet, shrimps wasnt fresh at all. They gave Korean pancake on house. But it wasnt worse to give for free, taste too oily and stiff I felt sorry for all my coworkers.

I disagree and Im mad that why this restaurant has the best point of Korean restaurant in this site!!
