In Short – A petite jewel-box of a restaurant, this Japantown joint is treasured for its exquisitely fresh fish. The chef cooks and prepares everything himself, not impossible since the restaurant only seats 12, with the most coveted spots at the five-seat sushi bar. Indulge in the omakase dinner ($42), a six-course menu left to the chef's whim; it includes a sashimi course, nigiri, soup and a cooked fish dish.

Best Sashimi in the bay!
by jennnings
Pricey, but definitely worth it. I came twice so far, the first time I ordered the deluxe chef's selection, and the second time I ordered the sushi plate. The portions in the chef's selection is filling, everything was delicious, and the fresh sashimi is amazing. The sushi plate I was a little disappointed in, as the fish variety wasn't as impressive and fresh as their sashimi. It does have some of the best uni I've had in the States, ordered separately. It's a small quaint restaurant that only seats I believe 9~12 people, so make reservations in advance. Very romantic, though service is a bit slow. Highly recommended and would definitely come back!
- Pros: Cooked dishes, sashimi, ambience
- Cons: Must make reservations, service a bit slow
