The Fast and Easy. This is my favorite place to grab food in Pacific Heights. It is so easy to walk in there and grab something delish! My "go to's" on the menu are a salami AND turkey sub with the works and obviously toasted with cheddar cheese. My sando is always toasted to perfection. If you aren’t a huge sandwich person they also Gyros. Perhaps they are not authentic but they are definitely tasty.

The people that work at Capt Submarine will remember your order and usually your name after you go in there a few times. It is basically the Cheers of Sandwich shops. I recommend that you check it out.

Standard, hearty sub and sandwich fare with all the fixings.. In Short
This miniscule sub shop with cheerful counter service piles up favorite ingredients--thinly-sliced cold cuts, lettuce, pickles, tomatoes, onions and cheese--into East-Coast-style submarine sandwiches. Italian dressing is a preferred condiment here, along with traditional mustard and mayonnaise. A popular lunchtime spot for Pacific Heights locals looking for rare cheap eats near Fillmore Street.
