What People Are Saying About Denny's

In Short – With its kid-friendly vibe, booth seating and late-night hours (most stores are open 24 hours), Denny's draws night owls, seniors and families with kids. The menu sticks to classic American staples: wings, chicken strips, burgers, salads and the like. But breakfast is king, with specialties ranging from skillets, egg scrambles, French toast platters and several variations on the famous Grand Slam: two buttermilk pancakes, two eggs, two bacon strips and two sausage links.

Firstly, being that this IS just Denny's, I don't expect 5 star service. However you'd expect that the host/waiter at least listen to your request. The owner/host/waiter/waitress (yes they are understaffed), is only into adding on the cost for your meal. He asked what type of toast I wanted (I replied wheat) and he was so busy thinking about adding on what else he can add to my bill (like cheese on the eggs, or side order of hash browns), that he didn't even listen to my answer. I got an English muffin with my order. When does "wheat" sound like "English muffin"?? He also asked me the same questions twice even though I answered him. Its like a broken record.
- Pros: Family atmosphere, Known chain food
- Cons: Service, service, service
