Hair Savors. I went into hot headz with a hair mess!!!!!!!!!!!! I attempted to dye my own hair blonde with a box color. It came out looking like rainbow bright and was breaking off from the damage. I called around and hot headz was the most reasonably priced. When i got there i was greeted by liz my hair colorist who knew her stuff! She highlighted and lowlighted and it came out looking GREAT!!! I will never be cheap again HOT HEADZ is the way to go.

Editorial Review. This cute Noe Valley salon provides locals with standard services at reasonable prices.

Good value for the money. I think that I get a good haircut or color every time. The prices are reasonable and it's pretty easy to get a walk-in appt.

WORST SALON EVER. First of all, Lexy 161 clearly works at Hot Headz. She has the only glowing review here, and if you check out other review websites, the only glowing review PERIOD. No one likes this AWFUL place!

This is the worst salon I've ever stepped foot in. In fact, this is the worst business I have ever encountered in San Francisco.

I accompanied my boyfriend who needed a haircut, meaning I did not in fact get my hair cut here (and wouldn't get my hair cut here if you threatened to bite off my fingers).

Aside from two angsty hair "stylists," there wasn't a single customer in the place. Upon our arrival, one of them- in a huff of exaggerated annoyance- skulked to the back room to avoid us, while the other begrudgingly asked what we wanted. She sat my boyfriend hastily down and before we could finish telling her what we wanted, she spritzed his hair with some water and started cutting around his head like a bowl cut. No shampoo, no comb. She didn't say a word the entire time, only scowled (granted it only took five minutes of careless snipping). If we hadn't feared that she would stab us in the throat with her scissors, we certainly would have told her to forget it and walked out.

The first time she actually spoke was to ask my boyfriend how much tip he wanted to leave. Are you serious? Don't get me wrong- I'm a huge tipper, but this was the worst service I have ever, EVER encountered. The five minutes of god-awful hair cutting came to $26, and now she wants a tip?

Frankly, she was a horrible human being and the haircut sucked. No tip for her, no second visit for us.

sorry i paid. i went to hot headz once and the wonam messed my hair up but it may have been my falt for not being clear the second time i went their i brought a picture and spent a lot of time telling her what i wanted she cut my hair so bad i went home and cried. she didn't listen to a word i said. for 25 bucks you would expect something better but i should have gone to a homeless shelter for a better cut.

awful!!!!!!!!!!!. I have beento hot heads twice and the first time the cut my hair so unevenly that I had to get my hair cut a second time! Then I decided to give them one more chance because it was a very conveinient location. When I was sitting in the chair getting my hair cut I told her shoulder lenghth but she cut my hair up to my chin!

Pretty Okay. I went in here knowing it would be cheap. Since I didn't need a wash or dry, it cost only $21 before tip. I pretty much got what I bargained for -- the cut was okay, the stylist didn't quite absorb what I wanted -- my hair kinda just went flat the next day. Perhaps I wasn't specific enough. Go here if you can be very specific, but expect average results. One pet peeve: they didn't brush off the loose hair before removing the cape. I was itchy and covered in hair the whole way home!

Good cut for your buck. Went in for highlight and cut. Reasonably priced, $21 for all cuts and $75+ for highlights. A lot of people were coming in for cuts on a Monday afternoon, which was a good sign. My cut was exactly what I wanted, but my highlights didn't quite come out to the color I wanted it to be. I would definitely go back for a cut, but elsewhere for highlights. Low-key type of atmosphere, definitely not you high-class salon.
