Finally.... I found a place that actually seems interested in doing a good job at a reasonable price! The place isn't much to look at, in fact, it is pretty unattractive. However, the staff is great. They took a lot of care to make sure my nails looked nice, not just blindly chopping at my cuticles like other places. Go try it!

Excellent mani/pedi. Two weeks after getting a terrible mani/pedi in Noe Valley, I went to Pretty Nails in the Castro and walked out with a perfect manicure and pedicure. The ladies at Pretty Nails are by far the best in town; they are very meticulous, thorough, and take pride in their work. The downside is that the shop isn't much to look at (I love Mani/Pedi's shop, but didn't think the manicure was all that great), and their color selection is limited. You may want to bring your own polish.
