The Scene
This tiny shop tucked under a blue awning on bustling 24th Street is literally the size of a large walk-in closet. The walls are lined with racks full of periodicals, and Sam, the owner, sits inconspicuously at the counter as the magazines and newspapers sell themselves.
The Goods
Good News stocks roughly 3,000 publications. Mainstream magazines--Newsweek, Time, Harper's, The Economist, The New Yorker, Forbes, etc.--are always available, along with major newspapers like The New York Times, The Wallstreet Journal and The San Francisco Chronicle. You'll also find an abundance of special-interest periodicals on subjects like boxing, yachting, skateboarding, surfing, sailing, music, design, travel, cars, trucks, massage, cooking, literature, poetry, yoga and more.
