Best pizza, pasta, and calamari anywhere, good service, nice atmosphere. I have been going to Capri for about 5 years now and have always left more than satisfied! The service is great! The pizza is the best I have ever had, the pastas fresh and tasty, and entrees spectacular. Did I mention the fried calamari?! It is the best I have ever had and highly recommended. This restaurant is exceptional and I highly recommend it.

Great Italian Food, Nice Staff. Excellent Italian food in the Castro. I would recommend going here because the food is delicious, the service is quick and the staff is polite.

Great atmosphere. Capri is my favorite Italian restaurant in the city - hands down. Capri has been open for more than twenty years, a commendable feat in and of itself, especially in San Francisco. I have been going to Capri for ten out of the last twenty years that it has been open, and I have enjoyed the family-run atmosphere, the prompt service, and the amazing food. I am truly puzzed with the last posting, because the owners and their staff have always gone out of their way to make me and everyone I bring to their restaurant happy and comfortable. I have gone to many "high-end" restaurants and usually receive service which is incomparable in terms of attentiveness and courtesy. I highly recommend it!!!

The big "oops".. after going to this place for many years, it was on the list for the three of us to stop in this last friday evening (4/21/06). After being seated and taking up the menus, the wait person approached with water and slipped and spilled the water on my partner, also braking a glass (luckily not the wine). after cleaning up with apologies all around, dinner was ordered and veal was selected by my partner. begining to eat, he soon found he had been served chicken instead of veal. The wait person checked the order and found the customer was right. A new dinner was prepared and served. when the bill came, there was no compensation offered...I say this is very poor customer relations and an embarrassment to the management.

Longtime Favorite. I've loved Capri through boomtime and bust, and there is a good reason this family restaurant is still popular: their food is fresh and delicious, their service professional and always personable, and the space is welcoming and cozy. Over the years I've taken my own family here, as well as friends and visitors--all enjoyed themselves. It's not white-tablecloth service, but it's just right when you want to relax, eat well, and be treated like family.

Best Italian Restaurant in the City. Being an Italian, I know Italian food. And this is by far my favorite Italian restaurant in San Francisco. This family owned and operated restaurant makes you feel right at home. This restaurant has much more than just (amazing) pizza - it has fabulous pastas and delicious entrees (chicken/veal/calamari/prawns/salmon/steak, etc.) as well...and at extremely affordable prices. If you haven't tried it, you are truly missing out.

Yummm. Next to going to Italy and having pizza, this is the best I have eaten. The dough is made fresh daily by the owner himself, not to mention his pizza sauce. The dough for his ever famous bread is also made fresh before the restaurant opens. Oh yeah, his minestrone soup is also home made. How do I know all of this? I asked. Portions are filling, usually enough to take home too. You won't regret going.

good food. Tired of the crowded & noisy Pasta Pomodoro or Fuzio? Looking for a low-key and friendly place to have pasta or pizza?

Then escape into Capri, where the food is good and the atmopshere just right. Very good selection of veggie pasta & pizza. This is a family run business, so the service is attentive and pleasant.
