la classe restaurant!!. It is riddiculosly hard to write about this resataurant in 150 words or less, i have been around to loads of indian resataurants but the food and service i here was absolutely class. And not just the food, the ambience deserves appreciation as well. I will no doubt recomend this restaurant to anybody who savies delicious food and friendly servers. Two big thumbs up.

had never been here, but now will always be here. OK, i read some of the reviews & was quite taken back by some of the comments. I have been here once & let me tell y'all that i m only going 2 go here for Indian food! Damn, this place rocks. Not very crowded, fun atmosphere & very artisitic paintings! The staff is amazing. They will get u wat you want & without rippin you off. I was there with my fiancee and the waiter told us not to order too much, wait and see what we have first and then order later! Where do you get waiters like this? The food was amazing. not too creamy & perfect blend of spices. this food was hella good, unlike Indian oven or Naan Curry where its all creamy. Nice energetic music too, dont know why other restaurants dont play the same kind. Highly recommended place

Excellent food and great delivery service. We usually order online and it has been great- love these dishes: Lamb Boti Masala, Chicken Makhanwala curry and the Krahi stirfry with prawns. Good people!

Cant wait to go back there again!. I will keep it simple unlike most of the reviews.

Food- Excellent. It was perfect. I asked for Hot & not too hot or medium, they made it exactly how i wanted. Try the Saag Panner with Garlic Naan.

Service- Its all guys! But they are hella cool and will listen to you! They wont try to take more money out of your wallet, instead will advise you honestly on how much and what to order. And trust me, the choices were just amazing!

Prices- Its ok. I wouldnt say its too expensive, but its not cheap either. It is moderate. But what the heck! We are living in SF people!! So according to that, its pretty good.

Overall: I love this restaurant & so do all my friends. It is the best restaurant in Castro!

PS: Try the booths in the very back. They can BE very ROMANTIC!!

Bland, overpriced and bad service. I've been here twice and both times the naan was dry, the chicken tikka masala was BLAND, the waiters were rude and the bill was 3 times more expensive than much better places like Naan and Chutney (lower haight) and Pakwan (mission).

Don't go here because it's close. Walk or drive the extra few minutes and have a much better meal at 1/3 the price.

Avoid the lunch buffet. It sounded like a good deal, and there were several choices, including bread, entrees, and desert. But the food was not worth the price. The chicken tikka was bland and full of bones: who wants boney chicken? The sauces are heavy. Desert was poor as well: Gulab Jamun was oily and syrupy. Yuck! I go to some cheap place next time: I'd rather get good food and less of it than unlimited less-than-satisfactory food.

Overpriced mediocrity. It's not bad. But not that great. I've ordered it for delivery on numerous occasions because it is better than a lot of other delivery options. In a moment of desperation, I will probably order it again. But it is considerably overpriced for the portions and the quality is inconsistent. Some nights it will be pretty good, other nights are disappointing.

The Kashmari naan is delicious. The Bhindi masala was the most disgusting thing to grace my lips for a very long time. The Tikka Masala is pretty decent.

Don't bring friends/ dates to Bombay as a represenation of Indian food. Save it for those nights when you want to veg out with comfort food and a DVD by yourself... after payday...

Want to go for a simple North Indian food?. This restaurant is the place to be at for a simple, North Indian food. Its not only about the Indian spices but also the flavor that comes with the right mix of the Indian spices. The consistency (other entrees as well) of Sag Paneer, Chicken Tikka Masala and Baigan Bharta dipped with Garlic Bread is the best one can go for. In addition, their wait staff, management and kitchen staff are quiet friendly. I give an A+ to this restaurant in the Castro.

Best North Indian food the city has to offer!. It is hard to miss this restaurant if you really want the taste of traditional north Indian cuisine. The serivice is exceptional and the ambience is so soothing. I have tasted quiet a few entrees on the menu and must say, they prepare it just the right way. The food has a good balance of Indian spices and not creamy as well. I was there last weekend and learnt they had Vegetarian specials in the evening. You order one Veg. entree and get an other FREE. This is such a good deal. I just freaked out on Sag Paneer, Baigan Bharta and their Chicken T. Masala's and was charged for two entrees. A must go for all you Indain food lovers.
