late night sushi!.
this was a great late night spot to run into as my friends were grudgingly trying to accept burgers for dinner and the painful realization that our normal sushi spots were all closed.
as we were about to turn in for the burger spot; we realized that we saw the magical words, "open" and "sushi." Eureka, they're open and we still have a good amount of time left to chow down (closing was 12am)..
order the amazing unagi... i think that ends this review.. ^_^

Good Food = try the Saba Shoizaki.
I've gone to this Restaurant many times and I recomend it highly. The Service is good but the food is really excellent.
I've noticed that if One compliments the quality of their foods; the service picks up and improves immediately.

Local sushi restaurant at the foot of the Castro..
In Short
A relatively plain interior with plenty of room for groups sets the stage at this Castro eatery offering basic sushi with a few variations. The restaurant draws a moderate crowd during the evenings, but there's rarely a wait. Sushi options range from the expected (California rolls, tuna rolls, eel rolls, etc.) to the uncommon (the Church roll includes deep-fried asparagus and mango).

Good Bite 4 your money!.
I love Miyabi!
Try the Phili-Roll and fall in love, the Unagi is very yummi and I could praise the entire sushi menu.
We have eaten there many, many times and only had one bad experience, when they seemed understaffed. However- the waitress kept bringing us appetizers to make up for the long wait.
This was one bad day in many years of dining there.
The quality of the sushi is always very consistant and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who LOVES sushi but doesn't have the big bucks to spend!
Are there better places? Sure - but I'd pass the fanciest place for this "quick fix" ;-)

ther is better available at this price.
Based on the ratings of others, my girlfriend and I took a chance on this place. Yes it was quite affordable, but the sushi was very dissappointing and the service poor. The ebi rolls were not fresh - the shrimp was mushy and tasted odd (we sent them back) The california rolls lacked texture and flavor. I was afraid to find out what anything raw might have been like. or table was never cleared of any appetizer plates, wine glasses, etc before the main dish so we had to put out items on another table to make space. What we had that was ok were the cucumber rolls, miso soup and the chicken teryaki. There was a steady number of people in the restaraunt..but I'm not sure why - there is better even at these prices.

Good Honest Sushi.
Miyabi is a wonderful small sushi restaurant- the Sushi is always fresh, and the service is great. It's not as hip 'n' trendy as, say, Tokyo Go Go, but for good, honest, tasty sushi and friendly service, you can't beat it.
