The accolades are well earned!. We went to this quaint little cafe after reading rave reviews in Citysearch, and are very glad that we tried it out.

The trout sandwich was great, as were the 'potato, cheese and onion scramble' (the accompanying whole wheat walnut bread and home fries are fantastic), chicken and vegetable soup, and mimosas. Tab: $29 (excluding tip).

Best brunch in SF. This Noe Valley (not Mission/Valencia corridor as one reviewer quite mistakenly noted-what map are they looking at??) institution is the best breakfast in the city. There are fancier ones with more exotic menus (Absinthe or Zuni) but this one is cozy, simple and delicious in all our countless visits. The waits on weekends are the downside but weekdays and early mornings are great. There is no better value for fresh, great food for breakfast in the city.

Is everybody here on a different planet?. Wow, I suppose that neighborhood (Mission/Valencia "Corridor" to types who believe that's a hip name) considers restaurants that RESEAT YOU after BEING SEATED ALREADY on the whim of the staff is an OK standard for 'service'. Ugh. We went on a crowded morning (pick any weekend morning), were put on a list, got called from the list, seated, then subsequently asked to LEAVE our table as the 'name before us' hadn't heard her name being read, so THEY were seated instead. Huh? How does THAT logic work? Anyway, after a 45 minute wait, we were famished anyhoo, so stayed for the food against my better judgment. The food was good, but then again, I was VERY hungry at that point, so a PB&J sandwich would have sufficed. There are PLENTY of other yummy brunch places to go, so save your time, money, and frustration- steer clear of this joint!!!!

Absolutely the best breakfast. If you look over the ratings you'll see that Chloe's has received 5-6 10s and then 2 1's. That's absolutely ridiculous. This is probably the best breakfast I have ever had. Their eggs are delicious and creative (red onion, feta cheese and potatoes are my favorite) and their pancakes are fluffy yet hearty. To those naysayers who gave it a 1 I ask ... why did you keep coming back here? The only downside is that Chloe's gets crowded on the weekends but really, it's worth it.

Pancakes from Heaven. I've been a fan of Chloe's for years, and their breakfast is the best. Yes, the menu's short (their kitchen is tiny), and you can only get eggs scrambled, but the banana-walnut pancakes are simple some of the best around. Combine that with great coffee, fresh, top-quality ingredients and fine service what more do you need in a tiny neighborhood joint? I wish they were still around the corner from me

Dreary Menu. I used to live up the street and every time we'd try Chloe's I'd read and read and read the menu hunting for something unique or even really good.

The worst salads! Totally un imaginative. Egg dishes are boring - you should eat at home.

I once ordered a smoked salmon plate - even that wasn't good. Very boring, no thought goes into their food. I cannot understand why its still around after many mediocre years.

chloes choice. best place in the city for breakfast. the pancakes are the best outside of amsterdam and the egg scramble is delicious. be prepared to wait about 30minutes for a table, but you can register your name and grab a cup of coffee from marthas down the street to kill time.

Cozy. Lovely place, great food, excellent service, but long lines. It is a very small restaurant. If at all possible, go here on a weekday and even then you will probably have to wait.

Nothing is real stand out. I look at the menu, I keep trying to find something really wonderful but end up with something middle of the road. I truly do not understand this place. I've come here on and off since around 1992 and I just don't get it. Its not very good or very fresh or very good.

can't cook eggs. i don't understand chloe's - its good and all, but its not all that - wassup with limiting the ways you can get your eggs? chloe's will not do sunny side up or over easy eggs - perhaps its due to small quarters and specializing in certain things - but it ain't breakfast unless the yolk is runny. they do have good omelettes though. if you want more, go next door to fattoush - you don't have to wait as long, you can sit outside in a lovely garden setting and you can have your eggs anyway you like them.
