Bar NONE, the best. Can't wait to come back!. In 150 words you'd never capture the charm, dedication and sheer pleasure of this dining experience. Every detail blew us all away, from the lighting, the coziness, the smells from the kitchen, the music and the attentive (in just the RIGHT amount) staff and delicious wine. Incredible, perfect balance of flavor in food, best meal I've had and I stand by it. Try this place you will not be disappointed!

Great Food. Creative Menu. Superb Staff. Menu is excellent. Wine list is small, but very good and reasonably priced. We showed up 15 minutes before closing on Saturday night and were treated very well; not rushed at all. Menu choices were great, and the servers knew them all well. Calamari and Duck Conmfit appetizers were as described in other reviews. We had the Scallops and lamb. Both were great, as was Sumi Sunday dessert. We are very spoiled travelers. SUMI exceeded all expectations!!!

TRY THIS PLACE >>IT"S SPECTACULAR. What a spectacular evening. Beautiful ambiance and up beat music...not too loud. The bread was hot and delicious, great wines, service. The food just keeps getting better at this place. I've eaten here a number of times in the last few months. Wow! They make without argument, the best calamari (tempura fried?) I've ever had . I eat out four -six times weekly. Desserts are creative and soothing. Coffee is the best!...Beautiful presentations for the food. What more could you ask for!

Perfection. Everything was surprisingly good, we went based on reviews but know they don't always mean it will be great. The atmosphere, service, and food were perfection. Great for a romantic date. The duck confit is the best I have had, the filet and pork chop tender, and the prawns were meaty. The portions are large for the price. This is our new favorite spot.

Highly Recommended. I would definitely and have recommended this restaurant to friends. Dinner for two averaged to about $60, but it was well worth it! The beef filet was to die for and the creme brulee...heavenly. It has earned my approval, and I am a picky and descriminating eater.

Great food !!!. As a business owner I know the importance of great food and service. This place has it ! Whenever I want great food and wine we make this our destination. The staff is always friendly and I am never ever dissapointed. The fillet of beef is my favorite and all the appetizers are delicious. More people should know about this place! Make sure you save room for dessert !

Best Castro Restaurant. The owner is there almost every night (for the past 16 years!!). She practically invented Fusion. Spotless and quiet, with an inventive menu -- without being freaky. Something to satisfy everyone.

One of our favorite restaurants.. Everyone at Ma Tante Sumi is very welcoming and friendly. It really is a nice, neighborhood restaurant. My husband's favorite dish is the tuna tartare. And the blueberry cobler was to die for. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
