Very good for inexpensive Chinese food, delivery hit or miss. I was so sad when Yum Yum House closed a few years ago. I tried most of the Chinese food places in the area and always ended up disappointed. I like Red Jade though. The food is good. I haven't had a single item that wasn't good. Ok, it's not gourmet, but that's not what you're looking for if you go to a neighborhood Chinese place. The only issue is that the delivery can be hit or miss. In fact, I quit ordering from them for around 6 months because they had a delivery guy who wouldn't actually deliver the food. He'd stand across the street and call me on his cell phone to make me come out, cross the street, and get my food from him. Huh? I gave them another try last week and the food actually got delivered to my door by a nice guy. Oh, and they serve chop suey. I haven't seen that on a menu since I was a kid. It's good.
All depends when you go and or have delivery. Not having been to Red Jade for some time I ordered for delivery several of the dishes for lunch. Kung Pao Chicken, Basil Chicken, etc. They were very good, fresh food and delivered hot. I ordered again for delivery but for dinner. NOT GOOD. The chicken dish I ordered, I think, had leftover chicken from earlier in the day. It was dry and no flavor. The veggie chow mein looked horrible and taste was so bad, I tossed it. The eggo rolls were 'so-so'; It really does depend on when you order; Lunch was very good maybe because it was early in the day and the food was fresher as compared to late evening. Not sure sure if I will order again.
One of the Best in San Francisco. Fresh, quality ingredients properly prepared. Delivery orders over $20, they include free pork buns. I try to get to Red Jade at least twice per month. Plus we order another 3-4 times per month. The food is always great. This is one of the best in town. One of my favorites is the Beef Filet with Black Peppercorn Sauce. Wor Wonton Soup is to die for for. Two words. Crab Rangoon. Must try. These guys are good.
Great food!. I have been to Red Jade several times and have taken a lot of friends here. Each time we have walked away full and happy. The food and service are always consistent and I like that in a restaurant. I always start with the crab rangoon and I can say they are the best I've had anywhere! I have also tried several of the dishes and I liked them all. The best part is it's affordable! I am not a big chinese food fan but I love Red Jade and I eat there three or four times a month.
Medicore Chinese, but they deliver. This place is just OK, but you do get free goodies with your order (love those sesame treats) and delivery is speedy. But really, I only order from here if I'm REALLY hungry and too lazy to go out. It's utterly unremarkable Chinese fare.
Editorial Review. No frills Upper Market restaurant serves Chinese standards including kung pao chicken, fried rice, chow main and more.
Great Chinese Food. The dry salty spicy pork is a dish to try in addition to the mango beef. My friends and I have had many dishes here and none have disspointed us. One of my favorite chinese restaurant and I'm not a huge chinese food fan.
Amazing Chinese. Best Chinese Takeout on the left coast- you must try the walnut prawns, mongolian beef, and lemon chicken- soups are good too
