I was highly disappointed with this tailor. They had come recommended and I was shocked at the attitude and the prices. $85 to alter a dress and hem a seam. Way too much. Then when I didn't like what she had done, she argued with me about making further changes. I'll never go here again.

I've gone to Castro St. Tailors for years. I know that the owner is moody, but was disappointed to find today that she has become careless. I wanted to get a pair of pants hemmed, and she walked over and stuck in a pin where I had folded the pants over when I bought them. I said I wanted them 1/2 inch longer, and she said she would remember, but she didn't move the pin. Didn't want to risk my velvet Margaret O'Leary pants to this kind of carelessness, so I walked out.
