It's all in the name: This store stocks its own line of natural, comfy coordinates.. The Scene
On Noe Valley's fashion row, this women's clothing store remains beautifully immune from the ticking of the trends outside. Capri pants or baby-doll tees with fashionable ruffled seams may flaunt some contemporary flair, but most of these separates--nearly all of them crafted in Cotton Basics' Oakland factory--won't warrant a selling trip to the resale shop in a few months.
 
The Goods
This is the perfect place to affordably put together the missing pieces of your wardrobe. Need a white T-shirt, particularly one with a V-neck? Perhaps a breathy pair of yoga pants? The store's T-shirts, pants, dresses, pullovers, cardigans, skirts, pajamas, panties and socks softly sheen with 100-percent cotton, but occasionally a dash of Lycra or rayon may throw in some special stretch or texture. With so many knits, textures and styles, the variations seem never-ending, but the neutral and muted colors can be a bit limiting.
