A homegrown chain providing designer duds for urban studs and their admirers..
In Short
Pampering thyself with Kiehl's Oatmeal Facial wash, leafing through the latest issue of L'uomo Vogue, and other exercises in male vanity are all part of the fun at Rolo, San Francisco's glorious temple of men's fashion. Much like the haughty fashion houses whose designs the store carries, Rolo is a multitiered animal: The Castro District's Rolo On Market, which carries lines from Helmut Lang and Miu-Miu, is the chain's high-end store; Rolo Downtown caters more to "urban-sport" types.

great boutique.
fabulous shop......it caught my eye when i saw a Dsquared shirt plastered on the front window
one of few places that do carry Dsquared.....sizes are limited but you do have to go early in the season or they sell out quick in the small sizes
service was good.....but i do most of my sales over the phone ....so they get a little impatience with me
but it became my favorite place to shop

Great clothes.
If you like your designer labels, then this is the Rolo to go to. They regularly feature Paul Smith, D&G, Dries van Noten, Miu Miu and Kiehls product. Plus, you can get those nifty Comme des Garcons wallets that are hard to find elsewhere. Sure, the staff is kinda aloof, and sure it's expensive ... but the clothing selection is pretty good for San Francisco. They also need to feature more sizes for smaller framed guys. The main reason why I walk out of that place emptyhanded is because they never have my size.
