If thumping techno isn't the kind of background music you expect to hear in a health-food store, you've obviously never checked out Harvest Ranch Market. Located in the heart of the Castro, this well-stocked, glass-fronted grocery store caters to all types, from fresh-from-the-gym guys dropping by to pick up a recycled-cardboard container of organic baby spinach and quinoa salad to health-conscious club kids loading up on vegan cupcakes and fruit leather.

The Goods
The salad bar is a big draw here; it's stocked with dozens of bowls of raw and cooked vegetables, noodles, grains and vegetarian sushi, plus four kinds of soup and hot brown rice. Pre-wrapped sandwiches, a wide selection of breads, pastries, cookies and treats and a pristine (if pricey) produce section all make Harvest a great place to stock up for a picnic.

Great Salad Bar,Sandwiches,Soups & More!. Great fresh and healthy food bar. Their salad bar and soup selections change daily and they have great pre-made dinner entrees and sandwiches.
