What People Are Saying About Sweet Inspiration

In Short – The bright yellow walls are hung with local art. Floor-to-ceiling windows up front offer glimpses of the exuberant mile-high cake slices waiting to be liberated from the long glass-fronted counters. Cakes are large and luscious, in dozens of flavors and combinations. Look for the lavishly frosted double-decker carrot-cake squares, the whipped cream-strawberry cake or the devil's food.
Spectacular desserts, warm and friendly place to sit
by dleifker
The desserts here are works of art and so delicious that you'll scream with delight as you eat them. They have free Wi-Fi (but sit in the rear for a stronger signal). I've been going there for years and love the place. My only gripe (for which I deducted one star) is that the prices seem high (around $7 for one slice of pie or cake) and lately the entire place has been staffed by one person, and I've waited as long as 12 minutes just to get coffee and a snack. Go with a friend and split a dessert, you can't go wrong with this place. If you can't wolf down an entire slice of dessert (they're huge) get one of their cookies.
- Pros: Terrific place to sit with friends and chat over coffee and dessert
- Cons: Prices are a bit high, can be a long wait during peak periods late at night

I have left 2 messages and nobody has ever gotten back to me!!! So much for the birthday I had planned. I will never do business with these people again.
COLDEST PLACE IN THE CASTRO
by blijdhkdjkd
No wonder this place is dead in the day. Tiled floors and open doors creat a whirlwind of chill in this uncozy destination. While all the other warm little nooks in the Castro are packed, I am often forced to do my studying in this cake refrigerator. And yes, a slice of cake will set you back 7-9 dollars. Great for Citizen Cake but what overhead am I underwriting here?
- Pros: Free Wi Fi
- Cons: Freezing,Expensive
