worth a trip

the variety.. the helpful suggestions of the staff, the imaginative use and design of chocolate.. try coming to this store and not leaving with armfuls of chocolates.. a totally pleasant experience...

Great chocolate- Poor service

The chocolate is amazingly tasty. The variety is wonderful and they usually have some very clever new chocolates in cute shapes. The only downside is that the staff basically ignores you until you ask for assistance and then condescendingly helps you. I'll still keep coming back for the chocolate.

Joseph Schmidt's confections are artwork in themselves, they truly appear to be too beautiful to eat! And the flavor meets the complexity of the design...the truffles and chocolates are amazing! With designs that change according to the season and holiday, they offer an array of gifts perfect for significant others and friends. Joseph Schmidt is truly a San Francisco gem!
