Great Customer Service. I went in late on a weekday, they were 30 minutes from closing and the salesperson was so extremely helpful, patient and pleasant to deal with. It was past closing and I was not rushed in any way. High marks for great customer service, I wish I remembered her name but this experience is not at all like the other reviewer on this site - probably depends on the salesperson. The store was so well organized and it was easy to find what I needed, not at all overwhelming like other bead stores and I liked that their semiprecious beads were kept in an orderly manner and so were less damaged than other stores I've seen. Prices were also very decent.

Store can be full of attitude. I've shopped at this bead store a number of times. It's always a crap shoot as to what kind of attitude the people behind the counter will have. Sometimes they're friendly, but 9 out of 10 times they are rude, and act like they hate their jobs and the customers. I wait quietly to be served, and then to have to put up with their attitude makes it not worth it. Their hours are good, but the shop is extremely tiny and you have to wait for them to show you each tray of beads. Try Beyond Beads or Beadissimo - very helpful, a large store, and you don't have to wait to be handed a tray.

Heart of Castro. I am new to beading and am more into quantity, not quality, as quality costs money. The beads here are beautiful and exotic: metals, glass, carved, and assorted other high-end ware. The woman working the store mentioned that it was a family business and had been there 20 + years. Great atmosphere, but sadly I spent ~ $20 and walked out with about 12 beads.
