Condescending - Stay Away!. Wish I could give "0" Stars... Gina's Customer service yesterday was terrible... I mean does she ever get up off of that stool?

I stopped by the shop twice yesterday to get an opinion on my dad's squeaky car. Adel (mechanic) and Gina (owner) were standing around talking with coffees in hand.

Adel was incredibly rude and insisted I drop off the car (that I was pretty sure just had a loose belt) the next morning so he could "listen" to it... Can't you listen to it while it's right in front of you without my having to drop it off for 3 hours? (Especially since you weren't doing anything to begin with?) He said "Everybody wants us to listen - we don't have time for that." Why not?? You weren't doing anything else.

Gina did not get off of her butt for either of my questions... she just sat on a stool in the doorway. It does say she is a service tech as well as owner... couldn't she listen to the car?

I even called later to explain that it was my father's only car, he had Doctor's appts and that I couldn't leave it for a "listen". Asked why we had to leave the car for them to listen to and Gina said that they were just too busy... I would have been out of there after a listen if they would have listened. :) Just wanted to confirm the problem and make arrangements so I could drop off the car.

Anyway - BAD ATTITUDE, BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LACK OF CARING FOR HER NEIGHBORS.

Go to Faxon Garage instead... John was super friendly & helpful & fixed the car within an hour this morning, no drop-off/leave behind & listening included.

Pleasant and up front. Gina's Ocean Avenue Service Station is part of our neighborhood, and I had inquired about making an appointment for a smog testing of my 1995 Ford Aero Star van. I was told I didn't need an appointment. I took my van in. Gina personally checked where the inside cover for the engine was located which would determine the price. I was told it was in easy access therefore it wouldn't cost me more and I would have it back in about an hour. I left it, walked home, got a call a little over an hour later that it was complete. It had passed. I walked back, paid for the service, gave my thanks, and drove off. How convenient! Through the years, I have sometimes chosen for her to work on my van and other times I've taken it to the dealership. Gina and her employees have always been pleasant and up front with me.

Great, quick service. Have had great experies here. Adel (sp?) was very kind and helpful in diagnosing why my car didn't pass smog (cracked hose, which he opened the hood and showed me, and thenordering the hose the replacement hose. As I was pulling out they noticed one of my tail lights was out and flagged me down. They changed the bulb free of charge. Great, quick service

Does not talk down to anyone. Always love taking my car to Gina's! She's super friendly and even when she's not there, her staff does not talk down to anyone (i.e. me). I've called Gina sometimes just to find out about how much I should be paying for a service, which she's always helpful and tells me the range of what I should expect to be charged for anything relating to my car. You can leave and pick up your car any time (as they're open 24/7), even though the garage is closed at nights. I've told Gina before that someone told me that I needed XX changed, which she had her doubts, tested it herself, and told me that the problem was actually something completely different (and cost less to repair!). If you get on her mailing list too, she'll send you coupons good for discounts on labor and other deals

Earns high marks from me. Showed up with a dying car, wanted to get it smogged. The mechanic guy that greeted me, took a couple looks, and told me not to waste my money. We talked a bit about the best options for my car's position, and I ended up leaving without paying a dime. Free advice when they coulda charged easily (I was ready to pay to get stuff done) earns high marks from me.

Gina's the bomb!. Gina! Gina! Gina! Wherefore art thou Gina? It's time for a tune up!!!! Gina's the bomb! She's smart and she's a lady! It's freakin' nice having a lady taking care of my big pretty car. I trust her! And if you are working with a tight budget...she understands and she will work with you...just be honest with her!

Treat me with respect and courtesy. I love doing business with Gina and her wonderful staff. Everybody is kind, they treat me and my business partners with respect and courtesy. They explain everything about our cars and what needs to be done to fix them, in detail and in writing. I am a dog trainer & walker in SF and my cars take a serious beating driving up and down these hills packed with dogs everyday! Gina keeps us on the road and safe! This means the world to us, and all our clients! Ocean Avenue Service Station has my highest recommendation. Gina IS my Car Girl!
