In Short
One of the most popular attractions in the park, this Japanese tea house is surrounded by beautiful Japanese-themed gardens. It's at its loveliest in the early spring, when the cherry trees burst into glorious pink blossom. Buddha statues, a Shinto gate, a stone "Zen garden" and a round moon bridge dot the property. The teahouse serves a variety of brews (such as green, oolong and jasmine) along with cookies.

I took a trip to S.F in March and this was the first place we went to visit. I have never been to such a beautiful place. It was so serene and peaceful. I didn't get a chance to actually sit and have tea and crackers since the seating area was all full at the time. I took so many pictures and when I got them developed some looked like postcards. Spent about 30 minutes there and definatley worth the admission price of less then five dollars. I will definatley come back if I visit San Francisco again.

I've only ever been to the Japanese Tea Garden in January, and even then it has been one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. There are walking trails around the flowers, monuments, bamboo areas, and some amazing views within the garden itself. I have been able to get some pictures of this place that look absolutely like paintings because it is just BEAUTIFUL. Very much worth the small charge to get in. GO forth and visit this amazing oasis hidden within the hustle and bustle of the equally amazing city of SF, CA.
