Same nonsense. This theatre likes to think of itself as an art-house cinema but it is quickly becoming like all the rest with the commercials, endless previews and lack of attention to focus. A letter to their 'customer service' has gone unanswered. It really is getting to the point where the only civilized movie experience is at home.

Classy Movie Environment by the Embarcadero. This is one of my favorite larger movie spaces in San Francisco. It is by the bay, and the tasteful carpeting and theatrical lighting make for a cozy movie space. I like that it lacks the ugly largeness of the Metreon movie theatre, and that you can find independent/art-house flicks here, too.

The Best. We are so lucky to have The Embarcadero Center Cinema in San Francisco. The theatre is clean and well maintained. They have THE BEST foreign and independent films. It's close to Tadich Grill for lunch or dinner.

Noisy, distracting theater. To pay $10 for an indy flick while the janitors empty trash cans just outside the doors, give me a break. This place needs to work on its comfort and ambience.

One of the city's best art-house movie theaters.. The Scene
Owned by Landmark Theatres, the Embarcadero, like the Clay, Lumiere and Opera Plaza theatres offers films from the largest exhibitor of first-run international independent and specialty films in the country. Take a walk near the bay by the Ferry Building (only a few short blocks from the theater) for an amazing view of the water, Alcatraz and Coit Tower.
