The TRUTH about Orale. This place is a disaster. It is over priced and food is horrendous. $8 Sloppy nachos swimming in liquid with NO cheese... they forgot the cheese for christs sake, these people do not know how to make mexican food. Burritos with no flavor at all and strange ingredients that don't go in a burrito. I guess it's popular with the suits and ties down here but wtf do they know about mexican food anyway. GARBAGE.

Best mexican food in SF. This place is a hole in the wall for sure, but the line during lunch is indicative of how good the food is. Great prices and great portions, too. It's a small place, and there is almost always a wait during the lunch rush, but it goes quicker than you think. Their chicken nachos are worth the wait in itself!

Best Mexican in the Financial District. I'm always suspicious of Mexican restaurants, let me start my saying that. I'm Mexican, so it's gotta be good and mostly authentic for me to actually like it. Chevy's can kiss my butt.

I went in for lunch and ordered their house special Chimichanga (beef and pork) and it was really really (did I mention reallY?) good!!! It was perfectly crisp without being greasy, if you can imagine that. Their rice was definitely not what I was expecting, but it wasn't bad... just not the usual Mexican rice. Their chips were a litle stale, but their salsa was perfect. If you're in the area and want some good Mexican food, skip Mijita at the Ferry Building and come here instead. You won't be disappointed. Also, like the other reviewers said, what's up with the guy putting his feet up on the chairs? My dad would have reacted the same way as the owner. sheesh.

Excellent for quick Mexican food.. I have been eating here weekly for several years. The food and service are great. I am amazed at a couple of the reviews....Taco Bell???Are you kidding me? Some other guy thought having his feet up on the furniture was acceptable. Get your feet off the furniture and enjoy an excellent meal!!!Love the joint.

Great Customer Service. In fairness to Orales's mangement regarding tomorama's "review", I have eaten at this restaurant many a times, and not once have I had a bad experience, foodwise or servicewise. In fact, the management goes out of their way to accomodate their patrons even during the hectic lunch hour. Besides last I checked you are not supposed to put your feet on chairs unless your changing a lightbulb.

Owner is arrogant. Food is good.. This place has good food, but the ownership is arrogant and made it a bad experience. I had the owner come up to me as I was paying my bill and say that he did not appreciate me having my shoes on his furniture... and as I left he again reminded me of such. He had a big chip on his shoulder for some reason, it's not like I was dancing on his chair.

There was no "thanks for coming" rather it was "don't come back, and it won't hurt my business"... how terrible is that? I thought the unclean bathroom was slightly forgivable given the good food, but after the owner's rudeness, that should be pointed out as well. I was a regular customer, but now it's not worth the trouble.

THUMBS DOWN!

Q vo! Check this place out for a margarita & attentive service.. Great homely Mexican in the financial district, what a surprise? The margaritas are strong and the service is very attentive. Is a great place to visit for drinks with the colleagues or to meet people for a movie at the embarcadro. I ordered the chile relleno which was good. The salsa is strong but good. This home grown southern California Chicana left very very happy. Orale!

great lunch spot. I've been here a ton and always love it. I usually get the tostadas, but would come back just for the great salsa! they are very good at getting you seated as quick as possible and service is always great. Very nice place to have in the financial district.

Yuck. I have eaten at Orale Orale several times and did not have any complaints until today. My burrito had chicken bones in it. Not gristle, not cartilage. Bones. One of 'em was at least an inch long. I don't think I'll be back.

Pretty good burritos!. Went to Orale today for lunch, got the chicken burrito supremo to go. It was pretty yummy! It's close to my work so it's convenient for me. It's small inside so getting to go would be best. The only con: they didn't wrap my burrito very tighly so it got a little messy, even in foil.
