Established as a nonprofit building in 1971, Project Artaud rents to deserving artists of all genres, including performers, visual artists and filmmakers. The waiting list numbers 150 on average, with few openings each year. With 300 seats on risers, this ample warehouse space is home to outstanding dance, multimedia work and such disparate offerings as the Butoh and Afro Solo festivals.
