don't call back with a complaint.... I was recommended to come to Alexander's by a friend who raved about their service... I take her advice and turn in a pair of high heeled boots that had a small rip on the side. He says that I would be able to see the stitches a little, I say okay... I understand. 3 days later (Saturday), I walk back to find out he's lost my boots... we look around the shop, he doesn't even remember working on them. A little frightened, I give him my number and leave the shop. He calls me 30 min later and says he found them but would need an hour to work on them. Thankfull that I still have a pair of boots, I don't complain and tell him that I would have to come in on Monday (he is closed on Sunday), because I have to go to work.

Sooo, I go back to pick up my shoes, he doesn't charge me for the shine, which is nice of him considering the above. I get home to see a hideous sewing job on the side of my shoe. As my friend put it " It looks like a huge bunion". The stitches go round & round exceeding the rip x5. I call back trying to be sensitive to let him know I was not happy. To my surprise he YELLED at me and said that was the best he could do to make my shoes durable and hung up on me! I could not believe it! Angry and frustrated, I call back to let him know that I didn't appreciate being hung up on. He PROCEEDED to yell, talking down my shoes, and told me that I was just a complaining customer and he was NOT gonna give me my money back (which I never asked for to begin with). I told him I couldn't believe I was being treated like this after being recommended there... realizing that we were not getting anywhere, I said bye and hung up.

This made me really upset and sad at the same time, I love to support my neighborhood and this cute little shop is only a block away from my house. Instead I found an ungratefull shop owner who doesn't value his customers or care about his quality of service.
