good for happy hour. This is a good bar to go to in the Mission for happy hour, especially on Thursday when the regular bartender is friendly and makes great drinks. They have a photo booth and a pool table if you're into that. I would avoid it like the plague on a weekend night unless you're really into men outnumbering women 5-1, having drinks poured on you by drunk rude customers, and watching rejects from girls-gone-wild videos strut their stuff. Definitely good for happy hour though.…
Wanna Drink..... Don't go to Elbo Room.
this used to be the best music scene in sf...but that was a long time ago.
dont go to elbo room if you want a drink. it takes 20 minutes to get a drink.
the worst part is the bartenders stink. they do recognize who pulls up to the bar and when. they help customers out of oder....idiots really!
It's a cool spot, it's too bad the bartending is bad and so is the person who picks the live acts now.…
Avoid on Weekends - invaded by the bridget and tunnel Friday & Saturday. Elbo room is a great bar and I have consistently ranked this bar as one of my favorites for many years now. It caters to the local mission hipster crowd during the week and it is a great place to meet up with friends for a drink and chat, and enjoy great drink prices which run until 9pm daily. This place is a winner either before dinner or after - stylish interior and it ranks up there as one of my favorite small live music venues, with a great upstairs for live music. don't miss out - check this place out, and avoid it like the plague on a friday or saturday night, as the bridge and tunnel crowd has invaded this place in the last couple years. bridge and tunnel go home - please stay away from local places..…
Rude bartenders, but the drinks are cheap!. Went there for the first time this weekend, and it was crowded. The drinks were really cheap ($28 for something like 4 beers, one Grey Goose shot, and another mixed drink), but the bartenders could use an attitude adjustment. Crowd was pretty laid-back, non-pretentious.…
This two-tiered Mission gem buzzes with live music..
In Short
Hipsters and 20-something slackers from around town converge at this hangout. The lower level, decorated in mostly black and deep red, walks a fine line between sleek and
down-to-earth. A long, narrow bar sits across from a smattering of elevated tables and features a handful of tap brews, in addition to an extensive liquor selection. In the back, the railroad space opens to an ever-popular pool table and another small room, monopolized by a second pool table.
