Martha and her siblings established this Bay Area mini-chain in 1987, and have been luring in java junkies with coffee, tea and espresso drinks ever since. The founders have been schooled in the trade since childhood, when they played on their uncle's coffee plantation in Nicaragua. Customers looking for something heartier than a cup of joe can choose from pastries, bagels, fruit salads, yogurt parfaits and more light fare.
