In Short
The space inside is large and colorful, with pink walls and enough seating for a large family banquet. Locals know food here is cheap and plentiful, and constantly bring in first timers to broaden their palette with something new. Eschewing the usual tomato-based pizza sauce, Zante's uses a spicy spinach sauce, and tops their pies with chicken or lamb, ginger, green onions, and garlic. If you're not in the mood for pizza, there's always tandoor-roasted chicken, lamb, beef, and shrimp, and a large selection of vegetarian dishes.

I went to Zante Pizza 25 minutes ago my friend told me that they have a great pizza . , So I ordered Onion Kulcha which is 2.99 Mushroom Mattar 6.99 Extra curry souse 2.00 slice of pizza to go 3.00 It should be not more then 17.00 dollars with tax , But the man who was there told me to pay 20.00 I said ok , When I asked why 20.00 he said souse is expensive and i also tip them , I waited about 20 min for the food to come out . When come home and opened the box , I was disgusted the way how they packed it , They put a liquid souse in a paper box , and mushroom mutter was also in the box . And they didn't put my pizza in . Over all Kulcha was ok , Mushroom muttar was terrible I even didnt it I trough it away . So my first and last experience with Zante Pizzaa , was terrible I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone . And I cant get how they even get Zagat Rated .There are so many stickers on the door from Zagat .Who ever gave them the sticker ,hooked them up .

I ordered from our usual take-out menu and made the mistake of not asking for the amount before hanging up. The chicken tanduri had gone up fifty percent and instead of $41 for 3 people, the bill came to $61. Not worth the expense.

Zante Indian Pizza is a really unique concept that has been executed well. As a Bernal Heights resident, it is a great addition to the neighborhood. The regular Indian food at Zante is pretty good, but the Indian pizza is the star. I was weary of the dish when I first ordered, but was surprised at how much I liked it. The pizza is not a curry pizza, as many people seem to think. Instead it topped with spinach, eggplant, tandoori chicken, lamb, garlic and ginger. The dough is not naan, but not traditional pizza dough either. I would definitely recommend Zante to SF residents, particularly if you are looking to try something new.
