Good stuff. My boyfriend and I went to school in NY so of course have a bond with the big greasy late night slices of NY pizza. This place is by far the closest thing you'll get out here and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for that new york grease slice that you need to fold in half to eat! Yum!

Decent Pizza, but not even close to NYC. Based on the high city search reviews I went to Arinell expecting a near prefect pie. Don't get me wrong, it was decent thin pizza, but I don't believe it warrants a 9.7 overall rating. Having lived in NY my personal feeling is this doesn't live up to NYC standards. It's a nice thin crust pizza, but I wouldn't make a special trip for it. I would say it makes a great late night snack or meal for some one on the go who lives near by. Havind said this, I must say it's the closest thing I have found to NYC style thus far.

best pizza in the city hands down!. great location...right by bars like skylark, nice restaurants like ramblas, and hole-in-the-wall bars w/ great cocktails like puerto alegre.

Almost NY. This is very good pizza. Definately good for San Francisco. I'm another east coaster who has been on a quest for a decent slice. This pizza is thin and oily the way pizza should be! The wax paper is a nice touch and it is nice to be able to buy an affordable, tasty slice that tastes like pizza and not thick dough. My only gripe is if you have a car you will have to circle the block while someone runs in to grab a pie because parking is never an option. Also, since these folks actually know how to make good pizza...they should expand and have more locations throughout the city since their pizza does rock.

A Slice of Home! Arinell!. Born and raised in the heart of NYC, I've searched high and low locally for something similar or remotely close. This place is it! It ranks up there with all of the "Original Ray's" and "Nick's" joints. Watchout NY, Arinell is on the loose. Going to the Big Apple minus the plane ticket.

Folks pan-handling like NY too.

Closest thing to NYC in SF. You wouldn't go here for the ambience or the friendly staff, you go for the NY pizza that'll remind you of Joe's in Greenwich Village. The price is great and the slice is amazing. If you've been to NY then you know this is as close as we get here in SF.

nyc slice... Amazing to find a slice just like NYC. Decor is a typical pizza joint. You eat your slice and leave. I think the one thing that amuses me is the way the cut their slices. It's not evenly distributed so your slice looks a bit warped. It still taste great just like East Coast style.

Cheap&Greasy. The pizza is pretty good, but it was entirely too greasy - which signals cheap cheese. Which equals cheap pizza. But it was pretty good, as greasy things tend to be.

sicilian pizza *can* be found in SF!. Two words: sicilian pizza.

Arinell makes it, and it is GOOD.

I'm addicted to Arinell's. If you want traditional a nyc cheese slice without any fuss (read no toppings), you'll love Arinell's. I am a straight up pizza snob (read North Beach Pizza ain't pizza...it's bread w/ sauce, cheese and toppings) and only eat Arinell's when I'm in the mood for pizza.
