Editorial Review for Aslam's Rasoi – by Lorraine Sanders

In Short
With the former chef of the ever-popular Indian Oven at the helm, this destination for northern Indian cuisine pits traditional items like boti kebabs, crispy samosas and offerings from the tandoori oven against house specialties with a California twist like goat cheese naan, mixed seafood biryani and Aslam's lamb chops. Large front windows, high ceilings and alternating exposed brick and brightly painted walls lend the spacious dining room a splash of urban style.

This was my first visit, and the food was amazing! I particularly loved the Chicken Saagwala. The interior decorations were very nice and warm. Service was all right due to the fact that it was the waitress' first day on the job...but other than that, I highly recommend it!

Pros: Food, Ambience

Cons: Parking

Aslam Rasoi is a restaurant where you actually leave happy. When I went into the place,my jaw dropped with excitement because of the atmosphere. Wait, because I have much more to say. The most important thing, which was the food, also impressed me. My favorite was the chicken seekh kbob, which was a special that the chef would make every once in a while. There was even a treat a server gave us after our entree. It tasted like roses, and it wasn't bad. My favorite part was the service because I had an empty glass, waiting to be filled up, when a server came over and did so. That surprised me the most. That is your first time hearing from me, and I, a 9-year old, loved this restaurant.
