In Short – A small selection of beer is the only characteristic that qualifies the Atlas Cafe as a bar. Instead, this is a vibrant cafeteria setting with a lengthy food menu, limited coffee selection and free Internet access for laptop owners. A magazine rack filled with the latest periodicals offers more diversions. The back patio provides a sanctuary on sunny days and fresh air on busy nights, when live music fills the cafe to capacity.
A place to be...

I love atlas cafe...
1st... the environment, everyone in their own little world.
2nd... the food... MMmmmm the chicken sandwich has walnut's on it... and i usually ask for feta cheese on the side... extra for my salad.
The apple pizza.. it's so good.
3rd. Coffee.... strong enough to drink it, and of course to wake you up.
4rd... If you like to smoke, then there's a patio in the back ... the allowed pets in there..
5th. Live music and some paints in the walls....
I moved to So Cal. and tomorrow I am going to SF... definetly... a place I will visit... will be ATLAS CAFE!
- Pros: Outdoor Patio, Food quality, environment
- Cons: sometimes crowded, bathroom always busy
Great food, good price, fun atmosphere

The food at Atlas is really unique and tasty. Things you can't find anywhere else like the yummy yam sandwich with feta and cilantro on garlic bread, or my fave the cuban style beef sandwich. And despite what that other guy's review says it 's a great value. All the super fresh sandwiches are under 6.50 with several even less and if you want gut busting fullness (and grease) for cheap go to a fast food joint pal! You can add some good sides for a little extra. The other cool thing about Atlas is the fun vibe and great outdoor patio. The coffee rocks too!
- Pros: Unique food, cool vibe, good coffee
- Cons: none
Good Food, Bad Value

I do not feel that you receive value for your money at Atlas. I ordered a sandwich which was very small, and they filled my glass of lemonade with ice! The WiFi is not free, but the food and drink taste great.
The Details on Atlas Cafe
When to Go:
The last Thursday of every month is a bluegrass and old-time music jam session. All acoustic-string-band musicians are welcome to join in the performances.
Save Time:
The kitchen closes at 9:30pm. If you need a snack after the burners are shut off, the employees sometimes offer the day's unsold danishes at the front counter for free.
